The
Hunting Shack, Inc. of Stevensville, Montana and Lost River Ballistic Technologies,
Inc. of Arco, Idaho today announced their intention of working together
in the production of a new line of Law Enforcement ammunition using an exciting
new line of bullets.
Lost River Ballistic Technologies has long been a leader in innovative bullet design using copper alloy as the dominant component which helps them achieve extremely high ballistic coefficients. Their past accomplishments include the well known "J-36" hunting bullet which expands to 1.5 to 2 times its diameter, while retaining over 80% of its original weight.
The Hunting Shack has been in the business of supplying Law Enforcement ammunition for over thirty years and has now expanded to include production for such notables as Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse.
While the main focus of the past was in practice and duty ammunition for Law Enforcement handguns, the line also included specialty rifle ammunition. For many years The Hunting Shack was the sole provider of the U.S. Secret Service 7mm Magnum rounds as well as providing 5.56mm and 7.62mm to the Navy for special operations.
